HALTON MODEL FLYING CLUB
THIS WEBSITE IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Halton & District Model Flying Club is one of the friendliest clubs around and it has recently developed a fabulous new flying site just off the A56 near Daresbury with excellent all year round facilities.
We welcome applications from potential new members to join the club, but as the entrance gates are locked, access to the flying field is only available when accompanied by a club member, so please contact us to arrange a visit using the menu buttons above.
Founded in 2001, as a loose formation of flying enthusiasts in a wood, we have now grown into a BMFA affiliated club catering for all flying disciplines. We have a range of helpful Club Instructors and Examiners with whom you can learn to fly, eventually taking your BMFA ‘A’ certificate of achievement. We also operate a Club “Safe Solo Scheme” which allows members who have demonstrated competency to fly on their own, prior to achieving their BMFA “A” Certificate.
The field is open 7 days a week and we have an immaculately kept grass runway, surrounded by open fields. Our Clubhouse is a nice relaxing place to be, come rain or shine and free tea and coffee and a warm fire are always available!
With ample parking facilities, our disabled members have direct access to the flying field along concrete pathways.
For more information about the club, please click on the "ABOUT" menu button above.
